Macomb County.

Macomb County sits northeast of Detroit: Warren, Sterling Heights and Roseville in the south, St. Clair Shores along the lake, Clinton Township at the center, and Shelby, Macomb and Chesterfield townships growing to the north.

Most of the housing went up between the 1950s and the 1990s: brick ranches, bi levels and colonials, many with their first kitchen and the bathroom they were built with. Those are some of the best rooms to remodel, solid houses where the layout can open up and the plumbing can be brought up to date in one job.
