Kitchen Renovation

A full kitchen built around a wood island and a range wall, with the flooring carried through to the rooms beyond so the kitchen reads as part of the house rather than a box inside it. The waterfall edge on the island is one slab, and the seam that would have shown was planned out before the stone was cut.

The detail worth studying is the range wall. The hood, the tile and the cabinet run all land on the same center line, and the pass through to the pantry sits on the grid of the cabinets rather than wherever the wall happened to allow. That is decided on paper first.
